Translators Needed for ICE raid victims

Hello everyone,

I'm putting this request out to anyone who might possibly be interesting in doing this, knowing that most of you won't be able to -- but appreciating your interest all the same. Last Friday, Immigration and Customs Enforcement raided El Balazo taqueria restaurants throughout the Bay Area and detained 63 immigrants for not having valid immigration documentation.  Most of them were released from physical custody and are now in a type of custody called ISAP, where they wear an ankle bracelet and have to report to ICE frequently.  Immigration attorneys will be meeting with these Raid victims on Wednesday in Concord and Thursday in Alamo frm 5-7:30 (ISAP requires them to be home by 8:00).  We're looking for a few people to conduct preliminary screening interviews and interpret for non-Spanish speaking attorneys at each meeting.

Please let me know if you're interested and we'll discuss logistics.
